I’ve been waiting for technology’s relentless march to take pocket size digital cameras into the HD video age. Yes, I have a digital SLR that I bring out of it’s case for planned shooting but I always carry a small digital camera where ever I go – no missed photo ops, please – and now I can take decent quality video as well.
Along with 1280 x 720 high definition video (with auto focus, auto exposure and anti-shake), a separate button to start and stop video capture and a 12.4 MP image sensor, it also comes with a 25mm wide angle Leica lens and 12X optical / 4X digital zoom AND a mini HDMI connector – what more could you want in your pocket? Without further ado, may I present my new Panasonic Lumix DMC-ZS3R. It arrives tomorrow and you’ll get to see what it’s video capabilities look like soon!
